I've got a 96' S1. Bored, jetted, and a cold air intake. It will still pull at 125 but I want more power without doing any more major work to the bike. I was thinking about using 103 in it, but there are so many other race fuels out there. Which one is the best to use?

not directly but it simply allows you to produce more power by allowing higher compression ratios.

The best race fuel to use depends on your compression ratio or pressure/volume of forced induction.

You will have the best performance when your fuel octane is just slightly over the threshold of knock.....

I used VP4 in my dirtbike a CRF 450R and they claimed a 6hp gain and you could definitely feel it.

question was about post number 1 bike.... not bikes with higher compression bigger motors,,race motors so the answer is no

i use 100 bc i can get it at the pump here in FL, and ive been thinking of trying some of the oxygenated 108.

as long as its not leaded, you should be fine, i guess since vp is gone i cant find 104 around anymore, but i run that oxygenated 108 in my EFI cars,

JUST DONT USE A LEADED FUEL

i guess i left out the important part... i spray a 25 shot on my x1 lightning through a zex cone air filter and use 100 octane with no issuies what so ever, well i do have the occasional "cough" but not at wot, and i think its just happens on a FI Vtwin

The VP race fuel is prob best in my opinion, I know some guys who loved it in their drag car and my father used it in his sporty.
