I was thinking of changing my wheels from the black to the blue(if I can find em), I was wondering if anyone has done this swap and might have a picture? thanks in advance!

Are you asking if anyone has eer had blue wheels on their bike? Would a google search eventually have a buell with blue rims? Sounds like you wanna see your color scheme (im not gonna search hard to find pictures of your bike) with blue wheels. Again sure theres a pic out there on google images. For enough money ill find you some!
So on that note, has anyone ever put red wheels on their bike?! Oh wait i have red!... And another set in another color, to be announced later cause it pretty amazing. Heres a hint, not blue!

Here's a pic of my SX with hero blue wheels & white plastics.....

I went to a bike night and there is powder coating available in lots of colors. The blue they had was identical to the blue on my bike

If your wheels are in good shape powder coat them. It's way cheaper than buying new or looking for a used set. (I've looked used and was always disapointed.) It was only $ 230.00 to powder coat both my wheels and the rear pully. [up]

sorry, i forgot to mention the main color and year of my bike, but joel9 hit it on the head with the second picture.....thats what i was looking for Thanks!

disturbed1, I was looking into powder coating, but near me in NJ they want about 150 a wheel, id love to try a blue wheel with a silver pulley.....

$150 a wheel is high. Id try to shop if you can. I paid $170 both and they came out amazing. But... $300 both is about the best price you could wish to find the rims used. I got lucky found my second set local for $250 and thats cause they were bent and i work where i can fix them. Then $170 for powder coat im $420 into the color i wanted with and extra set. Good luck buddy! Changing the look of your ride gets exciting trust me im losing my mind trying to hold out on my new setup until its done!

I live half way between Chicago & Milwaukee. I would say to send them to J&J Powder Coat by me, but after shipping you would be at around $300.00

Is that price including pulling and re-installing the bearings? If it is, thats not that bad. I had bought a bearing puller and it cost me $150.00 (I like buying tools.)

Still, if your rims are in good shape, you may want to still powder coat them locally. I would rather know what has been done to my own parts, rather than trusting some of the internet junk floating around out there. To purchase new, you would still be looking at over $800.00
