Hey guys,

Ive got an 03 xb9r white and orange looking to get rid of the stock wheel look. Wondering what others have done with this color bike.
Also wondering if I should keep the polished lip or not when coating them.

Post pics please!!

Same year slightly different color but here is what I did in my brither in laws garage, from artic white to orange/black

Painted mine. About 10-15 light coats of krylon hammered texture black then 10-15 coats of clear. Looked great the first season. Then last year the girl was wearing heels and scuffed up the lip on one side. Two full seasons and not a single rock chip. I am more then happy with it.

I have an 03 blue orange and have decided I wanna powdercoat my wheels orange. Partly due to my hope the powdercoat isn't as porous as the stock grey and easier to clean but mostly cause I want more orange. I plan on keeping the lips polished.

Thanks for the input, does anyone have black wheels with the white bike? Thats what Im leaning towards, with the polished lip of course. But I would like to see it first.

My thoughts about bling too, that is why the lip is brushed so there is no bling.

I am planning to paint mine as well thinking of going with black rim red lip, a little contrast but I am sure black and white would look doo that way!

I personally think that on your bike, being that it's all dark colors it would look better without the lip. Either all green or all black. Or maybe black with a green lip...
