Looking for a replacement belt for a 2009 xb12r does any one know a good source to buy them online? Buell parts.net only has them up to 08 . Does anyone know will the 08 belt work on a 09? I tried to reach buellparts.net by phone but couldn't get a live being on to ask? The nearest dealer to me is in Folsom, Ca. and I live a good 3 hours from Folsom so to buy it online and install it myself would be the most cost efficient. And whats the width and tooth count? part number? any help would be great!

the parts guys at new castle are awesome and will take the time with you on the phone, if you don't have the part number, they'll find it for you

Well that's simply not true, they just don't show up as being swappable and are rarely actually kept in a store anyway. I put some cross references into the cross reference thread for the 04+ belts
The links are also on my profile

Wolfo have you had any issues with the Panther belt you went with?? ... Pretty sure the belt on my XB9 doesn't have long left ... it's a 10 year old belt and it's suffered from the condition the bike was left in when I picked it up ... I have a spare updated 03 belt ... just waiting for the monies to do the +04 conversion

No real signs of wear on it and I already clocked 3 or 4k miles before it was stolen.

Negative...how many miles do you have on the current belt? let me know if you do the conversion before using the updated belt, I'd be interested in it...it's the .02A8R correct?

Best price around for a stock goodyear belt.... came in five days. Just put mine on my 2006 firebolt, let me know if you have any questions it was a easy swap.

Thrstrmech - I'm sorry I'm just now seeing what you'd posted referencing my belt ... I have right at 16k on the bike and I believe this is the stock belt ... I have a spare updated 03 belt at home for WHEN this one breaks ... Haven't got all the parts together for an +04 belt conversion ...
