so i was on my way to dinner with this cute young lady and on my way my clutch cable decided to break on me. lucky for me we were meeting there, and she came and got me and are going out again, but now i need to fix this damn cable.

can i get a universal one or a certain length from a different bike? or do i have to order it from harley?

embarassing to say the least ...it was a 1st date scenario and my idea was go for a ride...shot to hell!!!

Mine did not break yet but I got one as a backup from a HD Dealer too.

What do you do when the clutch cable breaks and you are going full speed?

blip the throttle and downshift, I made it down to 2 from 4th at over 100mph I couldn't get the 2-1 so I just flipped the kill switch and brought it down to a stop.

I was out with RT and Buell Wanted at the time (it was only a minute or two before they came back for me, Xtreme Low let us use his truck and his garage after.

I ordered mine from suburban HD, good guys that know Buell stock parts and ship fast, they also give 10-20% off phone orders

I was going 55mph (5th gear) when my clutch cable broke. i turned the run switch off and let the compression of the motor and braking slow me down. It gets real rough at low RPM so i just stomped on the REAR brake to prevent any damage. If brakes AND clutch go out thats when you down shift through the gears to slow down. (and pray) ;)
