I'd NEVER replace my BUELL! But I'd gladly add another horse to the stable. If you had to choose between an MV Agusta Brutale 800 and a Triumph speed triple... ...Which would you choose?

After owning a Triumph daytona 675r i have to say they make an awsome bike. Although i love the MV also. It might be better to flip Coin. The triples do have a Ferrari like sound in the upper revs. Can't go wrong either way both a win. Sure this didn't help but good luck both awesome!

Brutale 800 Dragster. Hands down. Only bike I've seen recently that made me think twice about the possibility of replacing my XB.

Any response pertaining to these two bikes is a good one. I have no experiance with either bike. I just lust for something new, something a little more exotic. l love my XB and am looking for something with a similar rider/owner experiance. All I know about the MV and the Triumph are what I read and hear. So any feedback from someone that has lived with one of these triples is awesome.

User experience shows that the MV Augusta are unreliable low quality motorcycles. But I like the MV Agusta Brutale 800 Dragster design. As I know the Dragster has 200 mm rear tire, I would prefer 240 mm.

be needing an MV part.....or service....or warranty work....or recall assistance?
good luck with all that.

This pretty much covers anything Italian :p

Don't get me wrong. I loved my Aprilia and wouldn't stop if the chance arose for my owning another one. I would just have a better minset going into it. I now know it's the equivalent of dating the highest of maintenance women you'll ever encounter. You'll never find a girl with more daddy issues than an Italian bike and no matter what something keeps calling you back to them. It could be that they were absolutely amazing performers when it mattered, you can't get over the looks or if you're like me, you love being abused by machinery. Either way it's an experience I recommend anyone try at least once. It will prepare you for a lot of things you may encounter along your motorcycling career.

Not to mention the Italians work different from any other manufacturers in the world. They make it look beautiful first and then figure out how it will work. Oil filter somewhere in the transmission housing? Who cares! Does it look pretty? End of story. Have fun disassembling your block. You'll do it too and curse it the whole time but when it runs right, you'll forget all the ills that came before and have an experience unlike any other.

I'm pretty sure it's the main reason I am in love with my Buells. They deliver experiences that transcend above the slight issues I've experienced.

I say go with the MV. You should experience it.

This is what makes me miss my late 20's.

good luck with all that.

Ha! That's what led me to Buells in the first place. I was originally looking to buy a Ducati. Yes, I know the parts and service are out there. I just don't care to pay that much for them! [down]
