You could trade someone with a cg who is tired of their bike being so low.

Edit: trade suspension that is

Well I don't think I'd want to do it mainly because I dont have the stands for it. But I suppose if you had the stands, and were handy with a wrench you could do it.

You only need a jack under your muffler to remove the rear shock and spring, I have done it multiple times. Not to say it won't be tipsy so watch it but it can be done.

If you are in that big of a need to lower the rear you could use two small brackets, to in a way move the upper mount up a little since there is some play room on the top. They would be oblong with holes on both ends, one set of holes to bolt to the stock location and the other to bolt the shock to.

I would have to show you with a pic to fully understand what I am saying, I will try to do it whenni get home in the morning, since I do most of my posting via my Iphone.

That would be great. I'm 5'6" on a xb9s with a corbin seat and I'm on my toes. The bike's low center of gravity makes it manageable for me but would like a little more on the ground.

Are there another options of lowering the bike besides loosing my Corbin or really screwing things up?

I had my CBR600RR lowered 1 1/2 inch in the rear and beside the fact it made it harder to wheelie, it didnt have any negetive effect that I could see, I have been riding sports bikes since 1998 and I get my knees down and I think lowering will mess up ur geometry and all that is Bull crap or you have to be on a track to see the effects, for city and highway riding i had no problem at all. and the confident you get from flat footing both side is awsome. saved my butt few times when i lost balance on slow corners or u turns but recovered because i could use my legs to hold the bike. I havent heard any horror story of how someone wrecked their bike just by lowering and inch or 2. I recomend to all inseam challenged riders.

Just my .2 please dont turn this into an "you are stupid you dont know anything about suspension thread" :)

Vee hey i used a Dremel put sander drum and slowly sanded the lowest setting on the shock. im 5'7" and i can get almost flat footed

do it at an angle so you can move it up for passengers, or more aggresive riding setting

I've got a pair of Doc Martin's. I get all my toes down not just the tips.
