I put these tires on roughly 2500 to 3000 miles ago.. dunlop roadsmart 2s.. they are wearing very good but for some reason the center isn't wearing as fast as the sides.. usually my center wears faster since I ride a lot of highway and interstate.. is this because the center has a harder compound than the sides.. thanks in advance

Yes, the dual compounds are causing that uneven wear.

You should do a few burnouts to resolve this problem. :D

Haha I live in tn and ride the twisties hard, yet don't manage to wear my tires that way....., you must be doing something right!!! :)

I guess so.. I'm kinda liking this.. usually I would have had a flat center by now with little tread left

I think there may be a defect in the tire. Id stop by your local motorcycle shop and see what they think. They might be able to contact the manufacturer a little easier than you can.

As kona said, probably defective. I have ridden on many dual compound tires and never seen one do this.

You feel that when you lay it over don't you?

If it feels the way it looks, it would drive me crazy.

i do not feel it yet.. it isnt too bad.. you can see it and if you run your hand across it you can tell..

HA! there it is, Dunplops strike again. At least you aren't getting that lateral slice that goes all the way to the freaking cord that happens on the Q2s. They definitely look defective. Either that, or your TP is way off.
