'06 xb12s with the micron serpent exhaust, open airbox mod with a k&n, breather re-rout mod, and NGK iridium 8's. Would the race map be enough until I can get it either a)on a dyno or b)tuned with a wideband?

I've heard that the micron systems are a huge pita to tune correctly. Thanks again for the help, you guys rock.

Well, it'd be better than just a base Stock map. In the meanwhile, start reading up on Datalogging and modifying the ECM yourself - much cheaper and will be a better "match" than a dyno tune. Also, you don't HAVE to have a Wideband 02 sensor, though it is better.

Dyno is more than likely the best most accurate, but I like to ride, log, tune. Its the cheapest and most fun

I can post a link to a map tuned to an xb12 with micron when I get home, it may run well for you

Micron system on XB12 is lean on std race map at 1.5-3k rpm range (read on internet and confirmed during my own ham-fisted tuning).

That would be awesome If you guys have a Micron map. I'm not too keen on running lean. Wow that sounded lame...

It's EASIER, but not better. It has too many controls (i.e. climate) in a dyno, whereas the "real world" and several datalog rides in varying conditions, will give you the optimum results that not only create the best overall air/fuel but also matches your riding style.
