So as you can see from some of my other threads I'm trying to finish the cheese chop up.

I need a way to mount a plate and some after market turn signals.
So if you have some small after market turn signals you are willing to part with for a reasonable price or bracket I can mount a plate and blinkers on I'm looking for both.

I used the brackets that I ripped off from the rear reflectors to mount the plate and wired LED plate bolts to keep it legal...Worked good! I mounted my signals on the side of the undertail. Got them from Motosport but you can get sililar ones at Cyclegear or just about anywhere. Here's what mine looks like:

I like do you have any more pics that show any details on how you mounted it up.. sorry I am just getting to feel confident in my moding abilities so details help out

Thanks!

Went down to the garage to get some detail pics for you...

I think I used longer screws at the bottom of the tailpiece to allow for the additional thickness? A little cutting, bending in the vise and drilling a few holes in the brackets and it worked out well.

The signals came with double-faced tape so I just drilled holes through the plastic for the wires. Also had to drill holes for the plate lights. I was resistant to do so, but I am very pleased with the results.

If you have any further questions, please ask...Best of luck!

hmmm I dont remember there being holes towards that part of my tail peice so I wonder if maybe they changed with the years... I am working for another hour then home so I will know for sure in a bit! Thanks for the help!

No problem!

It's actually a slot where the tail and the plastic meet. Pretty sure they're all the same?

For the cheapest lights just ebay them. Usually you can get a set of smaller LED for about $15-$20.

$13.99 includes shipping on Ebay, also found the same one for $10 more so look around.

One caution...If you end up going with the flush mount type signals in the back, try to get the overall dimensions because there's not much room to play with.

Good luck!!

Forgot to mention the intigrated LED brake/turn which is IMO the best decision for a clean cut and functionable rear.

yes I agree... unfortunately my wallet doesn't care what I like unless it is around the price of a coke . lol

I was fortunate that when BamBam became mine his previous owner had installed the integrated LED brake/turn signal unit...
:)

I'm just happy mine had an aftermarket muffler on it already because right after I bought the bike my hours got cut back at work so now the only mods I can afford are the ones that I do myself with minimal purchasing that I can spread out every two weeks I try and buy a lil' something
