XB air box cover question??????

Can anyone tell me if the XB airbox cover on the 07 is the same fit as the 03? I'm looking to change my 03 white cover for the 07 valencia orange translucent and want to make sure it will bolt on before I buy it.

You'll have to take the black ring off your Valencia piece. Because it has the vent in it for your air intake. The 03 lid doesn't have that.

The new one will bolt right up. There's no need to remove the vent in the front either. It's an even better reason to do the open airbox mod though.

Then again he didn't ask for a reason to do the open airbox. If hes stock he'll need the vent. Even if he cuts his own in the 03 lid.

The new airbox cover will work with an open or closed airbox. There is no need to switch the plastic ring or vented ring out at all. Buy the valencia orange plastic and install. Simple as that.

Hes not putting Velencia on. Hes putting a unvented 03 lid on a 06 or newer bike. The newer version breathes from the top. The 03-05 breath through left air scoop through the frame.
