Hi Guys,
Has anyone had dramas with constant inlet manifold leaks on XB's.
I am working on a friends 06 XB12R, the local dealer replaced the inlet manifold seals 4 months ago as the bike was running like crap, but it has still run like crap ever since. I looked at it a few weeks ago and ran a stack of tests as per the manual and found leaks at both inlet seals. I replaced them this weekend but the bike still runs crappy and fires inside the throttle body every 5th or sixth beat, I again did the propane test and again found the rear seal leaking, I pulled the throttle body again and have found nothing wrong with the seal.
Does anyone know what the size of the outer machined section of the throttle body should be ?
I am taking the throttle body to a machine shop tomorrow as I have a feeling that the rear port on the manifold is not perfectly round.
Are there any better seals available other than the stock factory ones ?
Any ideas will be much appreciated.
Regards
