XB12R rider from Corinth

Hello everybody!

I've posted a few posts around this board, but I haven't posted any threads about me, or the mods done to my bike, so I'm starting this one.

My name is Konstantinos (Kostas for short), but most friends call my Jay or Jesus haha. I live near the town of Corinth in Greece.

I got my 2008 XB12R in the summer of 2010, I imported from Germany, from a shop that had imported it from the States. I probably ended paying much more for a used bike than you people pay in the states for a new one, but I couldnt find any recent production XB12R for sale here.

Here's a photo of the bike and me taken earlier today, I just got my new Shift Vertex 1-piece suit in the mail a couple days ago, and today I found the opportunity to go out and test how it fits while on the bike.

I actually might be selling the suit and getting another one one size larger, because while it fits as tight as I want it, it feels short from my knee to my thigh (my legs are quite long compared to my torso i guess).

I look funny in that photo 'cause the sun was blinding me.
I was thinking of painting the primary cover black, but I'd want it matt, as on 2009 models. And maybe anodize the forks black or red.
As for the chin fairing, maybe I'll get a carbon fibre one in time.

Ok, I'll try and list on this post (even though I can't seem to be able to edit it after a while, why?) the aftermarket parts I've got on my bike. I still haven't installed everything I've bought, and turns out I've bought a couple items (like bushings for example) that I did not need. Might put them up for sale at some point.

And here's what I got from adrenalin, a few from the items I received were wrong (brake lines for example), I still haven't installed some of them, and I can't figure hot to install the rizoma small fluid reservoir for the rear brake, I guess it's not for my bike. And shipping was actually more, but can't bother to check on it now.

Now, if I could only find a way to mount these mirrors on my fairing

I wanted to change the sidestand with something more stylish, I've found this one

and the same one for sale in s Swedish website selling Buell parts. Quite expensive... anyone knows of any other sidestand that will fir my bike?

Today I went for a long ride with my Buell, on the way back the fuel light came on, so I stopped to refuel. Usually I opt for regular 95 octane gas, but today I filled it with Shell V-power Racing, which is probably the best high-octane fuel we can get here. What I noticed was not a Big difference, but a HUGE one! The motor run perfectly, not lean or anything as most of the time, the power at low RPM was instantly available and at a multide than before. Every time that I will fully open the throttle my rear tire will leave a black line on the termac, and the motor will rev to the mid and high range much quicker. I was quite impressed, didn't expect such a difference!

On another note (you'll laugh with this one ) when I got out to get my bike for the ride, I noticed some marks on the airbox cover, as if something had dripped there. I went inside to quickly grap some weat cloth or something to clean it in a hurry, 'cause I wanted to go ride ASAP. The first thing I saw when I got inside was... demakeup wipes! I thought "what the hell", grabed one, locked and went outside. All I can say is that they work wonders, better than any cleaning or shining product I've ever used on my bike, the plastics look like new now! Haha, incredible, my gf is gonna be sorry for leaving them there, I'me gonna end up using them on the bike, haha!
