Winterized my bike last week. Filled it up w premium and added some seafoam to the fuel. Everything seemed fine last weekend. I started it up today to run fluids through the system and after about a minute of idling it died. I started it back up and it sounds like it's only running on one cylinder. I shut it off again, waited a few minutes, and tried to start it again but it wouldn't start. After a few more minutes it attempted to start and would only keep running if I gave it some throttle and even then it still didn't sound right. Some smoke started to come up from the air box and I decided to call it quits for the day. There was no smell associated w the smoke. I have no idea what could be happening other than maybe the concentrated amount of seafoam I added to the fuel might have freed up some gunk in the fuel lines and clogged up the injectors for one of the cylinders. Any thoughts?

Pull front plug and check to see what it look like. U did add too much additive I don't think you are clogged most likely fouled plugs. You can not start and not ride. These machines don't like being teased. [cool]

My xb12s was acting a little boggy one day so I decided to add some sea foam.. I accidently double the amount needed and man did it run like crap.. made a good fog machine as well.. but just try to run it out of there

Motojoe,It might not hurt to remove some of the fuell., It is an easy process, then put some premium fuell back in place. That is your safest way. Not sure of your year of Bike but the 08+ Buells have the Throttle Position Reset or Key Turn Method, This Reset of the newer years of Bikes 2008 through 2010 need the TPS reset more often than the Older models do.
The TPS reset on newer bikes also controls your Idle and Start up procedure. If your Throttle or TPS is off the Bike will run like well nothing or not start at all. Never twist your Throttle on these bikes when starting or the TPS will be thrown off.
The older models need a computer or Digital Meter to check the TPS degrees.
Check the Manuals here on the Forum depending on year of Buell you have.
Different Years of Buells have different Degrees on the TPS settings or degrees.
The ECM controls the Idle on the 08+ years so TPS is very important for the Engine to start and Idle properly. Never Twist the Throttle while trying to start the engine.
Hopefully you only need a fresh set of Plugs and depending on the year of Bike you have, will only need some fresh fuell. The 08+ TPS reset is here on the Forum so if needed and you can't find it post up so someone can help out. You can always remove the injector and individually test it or clean it.Hope it is an easy fix. Good Luck.*Jimi

Most people just put on the right side scoop from the Uly comfort kit. There's also a few right hand scoops molded to look just like the left - but they are more money.

There are also a few other options - for rider comfort. The Uly had the header shield that can be put on, and Spec-Ops sells a reflective/insulating blanket to put under the airbox (although you can make one yourself).

How does one reset the TPS without a computer?
Bike warms up and runs like dog do, got a 13 code (os sensor) and a 21 code (?), any ideas?
Bike runs great cold, plugs are white but am told these machines run lean, not to how true that is?

03-07 model you need a computer to reset the TPS

08-10 model as below

1. Set the Run/Stop switch to the Run position.

2. Turn the ignition key to the On position.

3. With the engine off, rotate the throttle grip from its closed
throttle position to the wide-open throttle position and back
to closed position three (3) times, holding the throttle grip
against eash stop (open and closed) for one (1) full second.

4. Cycle the ignition key off and back on.

A properly calibrated TPS sensor will indicate 3.7 to 4.2 voltss
for wide open throttle.
