It's been 2 decades since my last bikes (KZ750 & CR125R). For the last 6 months I have been a voyeur on this sight drooling over your stories and pictures. I actually turned into a Buell stalker tracking several bikes around the country on craigslist. Can you imagine a like-new Black '08 XB12S languishing on the showroom floor in Omaha? I adopted the Pink Panther, Pinky, (wife picked the name - small sacrifice) last week and am still grinning from ear to ear!
We're taking it slow while I get my wheels back under me again, but have already logged 250 miles (was out of town all week) and completed 2 mods - peeled the sticker off and added the low seat. :)
"Pinky" shakes and rumbles, demanding to be unleashed, and hardly cares what gear you're in - corners like we're on rails - and loves to wave the front tire at the neighbors!

Next Mods on the list:
- Get bar-ends installed - trying 50dro's reco next
- Mesh jacket and boots - leather way to hot
- adjust suspension - rebound and compression both too choppy
- dual high beams
- DIY crankcase breather
- Frame sliders
- Remove passenger pegs if wife refuses to ride
- Stebel horn
- DIY fender eliminator
- Pipe and ECM remap once I get my wheels back.

Welcome to the world of Buell!!. It's hard to wipe the grin off your face while your riding huh.

Welcome to the madness called Buell !! That's a great first mod , removing the UGLY warning stickers ( gotta love lawyers ) . I'd hang on to the pegs because my wife didn't want to ride at first and now she's hooked and just got her own Buell this weekend. [up]

I'm in KC, KS side. Yes, adopted Pinky from Dillons. Good dealership - highly recommend them. They also have a beautiful '07 SS Sunset Orange waiting for a good home.

welcome to the Buell family and the forum Cowboy [up]
glad your as happy as the rest of us Buell-a-holics with your newest addiction.
:)

Good stuff man!! Cool looking bike!

If by "frame sliders" you mean "axle sliders" click on my ad to the right and let me know if I can help you out with a set of axle sliders.

...and welcome to the forum![up][up][up]

Loki - Will lost the reflectors once I get wheel tape on.
FWIW - Buelling is impacting my family, social, and work life balance. I have none any more.... And like it
:D

Keiti black wheel tape ordered. Reflectors are soon going bye bye... I already have a box for "stock" parts...
Still searching for the 3/8" breather+petcock and mirror plugs.
Will build the BT ECMSpy next.
