I've looked all over and cannot find the difference between these bikes. I just bought a 2009 XB12S which I haven't even seen yet. When I looked up book value for 2009 models they don't even list an "S", just an Ss. The factory site no longer shows specs. Can someone point me to a site? Thanks!

The Buell site was just shut down a few days ago, but the only difference between the S/SS is that the SS has a longer swingarm, a longer seat(and matching subframe), and the suspension is a tiny bit taller. Basically it's just a little bigger all the way around. Same exact motor and everything else. If you stare at enough pictures you'll eventually be able to see the differences between the shape of the seats, as well as the shape of the swingarm.

It does have a larger fuel capacity, the same as a Ulysses I believe.
It also has slightly less aggressive steering geometry, although still one of the most aggressive bikes I've ever ridden.

the S and SCG are very close. same frame and steering geometry between those 2, the only difference is a suspension that was about 1.5" shorter, and a lower seat. my bike was a 9SL(9Scg if you will) when I bought it and I eventually just bought the longer suspension, sidestand, and a taller seat for it.

The SS has a 2 inch longer wheelbase and a 4.40 gal fuel capacity and the S has a 3.82 gal fuel capacity.
