XB12X Engine Blown. What engines will fit???

I am looking for some info on what other engines will fit in my bike. I have a 2007 XB12X Ulysses. I bought it with a blown engine. Engine is BEYOND fixin'. I have seen several firebolt (XB12R) and Lightning (XB12S) engines on EBAY. What engines will fit? What are my options? Thanks.[sad]

Any xb12 or xb9 motor will fit. If you get a different year you'll need to sort out the ECM, and possibly something else. If you replace it with an xb9 you'll need to replace the throttle bodies/fuel injectors, headers, ECM, possibly the speedo.

By "BEYOND fixing" Do you really mean that there's not a single major component that's reuseable?

If the case is good maybe you could chase down a big bore kit instead of an entire stock motor.

Thanks for the help everyone. I found a clean 07' XB12R motor I can drop right in. My original engine needs, cases, cams, crank, pistons, etc....The guy seized all 4 cam bearings on the main cases, and kept riding, until it just wouldn't go anymore....he thought Harley would warranty the engine a second time....
