After I got into an accident with a drunk driver, i replaced some parts and such. There's now an engine light on. It rode fine a few times but now, it randomly shuts off. It happened to me on the freeway where i just clutched it, turn the ignition on and off and it started again. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem? =\. Super frustrated with some bad luck with the bike the few times I have ridden it.

My friend said to sell it since it's been nothing but bad luck. But I like the bike and i just bought it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check the battery cables. Had the same type of thing with stalling out. Turns out both cables rattled loose. I took the battery out, recharged it and put locktite on the battery hardware.

Cherry Bomb, your bike would start after switching ignition off and on again too? HmmmM i'll check that.

Yep. I'd go cruising and it'd completely shut off with no power registered to the speedo display. I'd turn the key off and back on and it would start right up. That happed 4 or 5 times in one week and I thought my battery was bad or maybe a busted terminal. But when I went to check on my battery it turned out my cables were loose on the terminal. Haven't had a problem since. I'd start there but it could be something else. My old cbr I had also a similar problem but my stator went. That kept killing my batteries but that wouldn't start right up bc it would drain the battery completely. So my guess its loose cables or a bad ignition
