xb9r six speed?!

Is there an easy after market six speed trans for an xb9? I mean didn't the race firebolts have that extra gear?

You could do 12r/s primary gearing.

There is a slight possibility you could get a 6 speed for your bike, if it is a 2003, check out http://bakerdrivetrain.com/xl6

Unfortunately they seem quite indifferent to the needs of folks who have later model Buells, based on my email correspondence with them…

There is no way to put a 6 speed in stock xb cases. There isn't enough room to fit the extra gear set.

I thought the only real difference between an '03 and say an '04+ xb9r was a wider belt. Nothing changed as far as physical dimensions or stuff, such as a drivetrain, changed. If that baker is for real wouldn't it fit in an 04+?

Out of curiosity what is the real world top speed of an xb9 and an xb12?

all stock xb12 and 9 genereraly ~140 dependent on rider weight, but I believe that is because you are up against the rev limiter, you could get a little more, but you are flirting with motor damage

You have to have a "trap door" for it to fit. None of the xb's ever came with the sportster style trap door. The xbrr had one but it was a different style of door.
