XB9S airbox cover

Hey guys a question,

I'm getting a hawk muffler, and i also ordered a k&n filter. Since i have an XB9S from 2003 i have a closed airbox cover as you can see here (pictures taken from google..):

please ignore the drawings on it...

Will i benefit from upgrading to one of the later airbox covers such as one from 2009:

And does it fit my 2003 XB9S? Would i also need a new tank cover if i change to this new airbox cover like this:

mate... nothing looks better than a translucent wirbox covering a open airbox conversion. you can get one from asb, or make one yourself. i cut the top out of an old inner airbox similar to your one drawn on above, and used that.

you may benefit a little from a later airbox, but some may say not. but an open airbox scenario will look the best, and you wont loose any power.

any option will fit any airbox cover.
