It came off a STT with 4k miles. It should fit an Ss or even a Uly if you don't need the remote pre-load.

I have no idea about the spring specifically, but I do know 100% this assembly came off my STT. I can measure the spring itself if you like.

You may be right.

The long frame bikes get their height from different swing arms and shock mounts, not the spring and its a pretty common "Buell-izm" (tm) to re-use existing parts:)

can you please measure and the over all eye to eye length if you text or call me I'll be at the shop by 9am and can measure my SS shock. I was reading on line and not sure if on this site but someone mentioned an SS shock extender , is that a thing? if so can i take it off I'm 5'7" in boots and the better half doesn't want to get on unless I can flat foot the bike. I need a 1 to 2 inch drop to make her comfortable.

There is no extender that I can see that is why I was asking. It looks like I’ll be building a bracket to move the shock upper eye above the frame and foreword if there is any thing out there I’d like to check it out.

Cooter I did more searching and the STT shock should be longer.

On badweb Froggy has posted that the 06,07 SS shock is the shortest that can be used on the long frame bikes.
But what’s the difference in length off an SCG,S or R ? And can it bolt on?

Well that is going the wrong way but I am still interested in it because if I use a lowering link the spring preload adjuster on the Uly shock is going to hit the frame.
Give me a call or text to set up please. 3606010597
