has any one modified a yoshimura exhaust to fit the buell? i seen a yoshi slip on that was full carbon that was made for a triumph that looked like it would work

nah i havent and i wouldn't mess with it anyway yoshi's made for jap bikes

Yes they do, but Jardine exhausts have to be repacked every so often...that's really the only downside to them.

Yoshimura makes great exhaust and yes they are generally for Jap bikes (even though their an American company). I'm sure that you could fabricate any can to fit any bike if you're willing to spend the time or money and I would never say that it's a bad idea, great things come from innovation and adaptation. But if all the after market out there made stuff for Buells that would mean that everyone had one and we were no different than GSXR pilots. [smirk]

Im confused on this aswell. The big V-Twins we have are pushing a different sound note through the pipes right? I would be concerned with vibrations blowing the guts out of the pipe, but I dunno, maybe it's no problem. I would make a call to Yosh technical and see what they say could be the worst case scenario. Obviously they're probably not going to recommend it, but hopefully they'll say " we dont recommend doing that, but if you did......."

I've been running a Yoshi r77 carbon for 5000 miles on the race ECM aph setup. Packing holds up great, still get to keep my lower chin fairing and it maintains top end torque very well. The sound? Deep and growl like. Feels great too
