zero degree bar question

ive been looking everywhere and finally found a used pair.
but my question is with the zero degree bars do i have to drill a hole in my fairing or can i just run the cables??

You can just run the cables. People drill the hole so the cable isn't being squeezed in a tight spot. The squeezing could cause wear on the outer cable, but it's mostly a cosmetic thing.

My fiance has them on her bike without the added drilling and like Dave said not a necessity but adds to the longevity of the cable. I simply rerouted them to give a better flow to the cable.

I didn't drill a hole to route my cable when I put my crossroads on. My buddy did, but it wasn't necessary, he just wanted it to flow better.

whats more similar to the Firebolts stock bars, crossroads 0 degree ones or the 7 degree bars?

7 deg are closer to the Firebolt. The 0 deg are more of a drag style bar. All the 0 or 7 refer to are the degree the bars are angled down.
