has anyone had their 12K checkup done on their 1125R? I called my dealer to set up an appointment, and the guy in the service department said it would take about 6 hours to complete!! What the hell takes so long? He said something about dropping the engine!

there was a forum on that a bit ago did you do the search or a service manual ill check mine when i get home

I havent had the time to check my manual... I have it at home, but I am sadly at work.

I'd be very wary if they claim a full round of the required things to be done in 6 hours..!

it actually took all 6 hours, but am very pleased with the service. The bike seems to run even better than it did before.

On a side note, My dealer recommended going back to the stock air filter (currently have K&N) According to them, they said that EBR says that the Stock filter actually allows for more air flow. Other than that, the Mechanic said he was jealous as he had recently wrecked his 1125 at the track and jacked up his pipe and full fairing set.

if that is the case about EBR suggesting that you could just send him a note on facebook they usually answer with in a few days and youll get the answer from the horses mouth

IF I had a facebook account... I probably would... unfortunately I dont, and I am not going to make one just to chat with EBR ;)

I have asked already. They suggested the stock filter, they said all their race bikes use the stock filter and air box.
