Different subframes?

As the titles states are there different ones? I keep seeing pics of people's bike where there are some that look longer and higher then my current subframing? Gives the ass end a higher look? And a more aggressive stance, I also noticed that some seem to have an arch in them while others just look straight

Yes the whole run from 2003-2010 there is a 'short' and a 'long' but you are probably seeing the mod that was popular a decade+ ago where they would space the lower subframe mounts up to make the tail higher.


Twin motorcycles, Diesel-Moto, etc.

Yea I have those spacers lol I just bought them, how exactly would I know that what I was getting was a short or a long version?

The XB-S is the STANDARD LIGHTNING MODEL. It debuted for 2003 model year and ended 2010 model year Buell demise.
There were variants of the standard Lightning during the model run such as SL low first model year.......SCG low rest of model run....SX City-X debuting 2005 model year.

Every Lightning I've listed above has exactly the same rear sub-frame thru the entire model run to end of Buell production.

The short versions were the most common including the City-x, Scg, S, SX, SL. The long versions of XB's are fairly rare and include the Ss and STT. The fuel tank is 4.5 gallons vs. 3.8*, and the pillion section of the seat is obviously much bigger when you see them side by side. The rear tire hugger is a good giveaway too.
