If you are like me you want a clean look without having to pay $50.00 for shiny plugs. Here is how to do it!
1. Put the old mirror in a vise and cut the plug end off using a sawzall with a METAL blade.
2. Use a bench grinder and grind the pieces down until they look like mine. OR keep them solid if you like. If you do keep them solid be careful not to grind to far. You only have 1/16th of metal.
3. use 120 grit sand paper to sand them down smooth. I used a palm sander. Be tedious and sand the piece's flat and even.
4. Put them on a buffing wheel.
I also posted pics of other polished parts to give you ideas.
