Can anyone tell me if XB9 flywheels will work in 00X1 cases, Im not worried about rods cause darkhorse.com will be fitting it with theres, This is for a 88inch kit race only. I have an oppurtunity to pick up XB assembly very cheap is why I ask. Thank You.

"I think they'd have to use the newer rods as well. The Crank pin increased in size and added three oiling holes." info came for HD engineer that I know. Timing and ign components are different, I think it will fit but too much one off stuff would have to be made. But if u can get the xb motor for cheap then u should get it to fund the x1 88 build.

04 and later sportster cranks are lighter and balanced like the buells but are indexed with the og timeing marks.

Im gonna use darkhorse crankworks for shafts and rods, just wondering my options besides the obvious expensive S&S wheels.

The ignition, and cam timeing marks are 180degrees oposite on later buells then on sportster or early buells.
