Figured I'd go ahead and introduce myself since I've been lurking on the forum for a few weeks now. I picked up a 2000 Buell X1 Lightning Red Stripe Edition with 21k on the odometer. This was my first bike ever and I've enjoyed the 200 miles I've put on it since I got it (Ohio weather sucks ass....). The guy I picked it up from said it had a factory race exhaust and race ignition on it.
Recently I downloaded ECMSpy and Megalog, also I'm waiting on my cable to arrive so I can do some tuning and reset the TPS. In the mean time I'm going to change the fluids out and the spark plugs with some new one. The last owner had only put 1000 miles on it in over a year. Also planning on picking up a K&N filter too. It had been dropped on the right side scuffing up the plastic and putting a small dent in the header but that'll get fixed soon enough.
I do have a few questions for you fellow buellers. Once the bike is warmed up it idles high, around 2k RPMS, but if i let out on the clutch a little bit at a light the idle will drop to around 1k and be fine till the next light. Any ideas? It's got fresh 93 octane gas in it atm.
