A little high depending on mods and options it had. Right now the buells seem to be whatever someone is willing to pay.
Little high for me, but redstang is correct, it's pretty much how bad you want that particular bike. I paid close to that for an 04 12s with less than 5k miles and with a quite a few modifications already done, but kept the stock look.

The only problem I ever remember is the fuel injection and or EPA tune sucks. Other than that, it's a Buell they handle great and have all kinds of low end torque. I would have to say the XB is a little more refined in all ways than the X1.

congrats.. you will love it. I picked my X1 up in the summer of 08 with 5K miles and paid $3,500. It was completely stock and only 10 miles form me.
