Just curious why i have not seen any vids of an xb12 vs an xb9 im intrested to see the out come so any one who lives in washington with an xb12 id like to take a vid of a 12 against my 9 im just curious :D thanks erin , Puyallup wa

Good point, I'm surprised no one on here has made any videos either. People are always asking about the difference between the 2, some people say it's a big difference, some people say there's barely any difference. It'd be nice to see for sure.
 
i am curious about that as well. also curious about how the early tubers stack up compared to the newer models. the best way to answer that would be to get some guys together on a ride and switch bikes for a bit and get some real world, hands on experience with it. in fact, i am going to try to do that at some point this summer.
 
i rode an sw1 2001 with hot cams and tuned ecm it was unruly out of the turns more like a uni cycle front wheel was off the ground more than on also at a stop light if u looked at the mirrors every thing was a blur do to the shaking :D loved it i wish it was mine think ill trade the xb for a tube
 
Buellboy, what have you been up in washington? I told you to look me up when you do. I've seen a few Buells around this year. As far as I know I'm the only one in washington and I got a 9.
 
I have owned both a xb9sl and currently a xb12scg. In my opinion the difference is minimal for every day riding. Due to the primary gearing differences the acceleration for the 2 seems close. The 12 does it with less revs though. The 9 feels more high strung with the 12 feeling a little more easy going. On the highway the 12 stands out as the superior machine, more power at less revs makes it much more capable for long rides. The 9 is an excellent bike but the 12 simply makes more power. A modded 9 will keep up with a stock 12 for power though. So really there is no wrong choice, just get what you want and ride it.
