I want to paint my trans pulley. I need to go buy a socket to fit it. Does anyone know what size it is?

God luck I couldn't get mine off to save my life I just taped off and out news paper around it and painted it.

I have a puller to pull the pulley just nothing that big to take the nut off. Plus when I get it off i plan on polishing the outer edge and maybe the lock plate or the nut i don't want to just spray it all black.

I think I used a 46mm...

Harbor Freight sells a giant kit for $50.
I went ahead and bought it.
I had to jump on mine WITH a 7 foot cheater pipe to get it to break free.

I can't remember now, but it might be reversed thread. Make sure you look it up first to be sure.

I believe your right someone else mentioned it being reversed thread but don't count on our word. Look it up first.

it is reverse thread and 1-7/8 you might need the jam the primary gear and have the tranny in gear to get it off without an impact gun:)
