Have a friend considering swapping his wife's 883 engine on her sportster for a 1203 thunderstorm. Just wanna see if ne r availible and how much???
NE one have complete engine assembly or wrecked bike???

I SHOULD HAVE ASKED... full assembly tranny engine ECM the hole deal. I'm assuming 1600-2000 is just for the engine.
well my thoughts are there are only a few problems. First fuel injection... obviously buell downdraft set up wont work on a sportster, but if u could either jet the stock carb off the sprtstr or tune the fuel inj. from it to suit the buell motor. Also the ECM whether its compatible with a harley gauge cluster. then final drive belt, but should be a simple enuff deal either use the harley front pully on the buell tranny or the buell pully on the harley wheel(dunno if thats possible) other than that i havent looked much further into it.

I dunno if it would b cheaper to build ur own buell engine... buy cams, thunderstorm heads, harley 1200 kit, and tune the harley fuel inj. or jet carb.

just found complete layed down 07' firebolt for 2,950.. runs and rides. kinda b a shame to strip the motor out of that one though 2 easy 2 fix
