Fault Code 53, ROM Failure

I got a blink code of my dash & I am getting a 53 flash code, looked it up on the manual & it states ROM Failure. Bike seems to run fine with no power loss just wondering if anyone has ran into this code before?

From what I understand working on trucks the ROM stands for(Random O Memory), this would be the factory settings that cant be changed. I am trying to hook up to it with my laptop but I am in the process of trying to make a com adapter. Has anyone made their own. I just need to figure out were each wire goes from the Deutch plug going into the usb or serial end. Any ideas or some schematics showing were they would go?

I pulled my front fairing off to just check connections & found my ECM had "Race Only" stamped on it. My question (prob a dumb one) is does a stock or factory ECM have this stamped on it? If not could this possibly be my fault code 5-3 ECM Rom Failure?

stock no,factory race yes also the ebr ecms.the codes for stock ecm and race/ebr are the same

yes quite a few people on here have ecms with that on it or the maps from one
