Ringing noise after clutch cable install

Recently had to replace a clutch cable for a 2001 M2 Cyclone. After the install I'm getting a ringing noise while the clutch is disengaged. The ringing goes away after the clutch is engaged.

Any ideas out there on why I'm getting the ringing noise?

Did you adjust thrust bearing from clutch after new cable? I dont know what kind of clutch M2 has but if it's similar to XB's you should adjust it every time you adjust cable!

I bought it used with 12K miles. I don't think the clutch has ever been replaced, but I can't confirm that.

I pretty much had to adjust the clutch (the main screw that holds everything). I put the case back on and can't really hear the ring any longer, so I'm guessing that noise was somewhat normal. I'm not a master mechanic by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm leaking transmission fluid now. :( I had to drill the screws out that hold the inspection case on since they were all stripped. I got a little bit of the thread hole on the bottom screw so that's where the fluid is leaking out of. I'm guessing I'll have to put some gasket goo there to prevent the leak. Any other ideas?
