the first pic is the airbox after i lost the top piece of foam on the airbox,,,,,, the second pic is of the airbox b4 i lost the foam piece

what do i do is that piece important for ne thing ,do i need to buy another one , do they even sell it , or should i leave it alone,, please help

do you have a stock exhaust? you are also missing the exhaust servo but its not used with aftermarket exhaust.

i have to rebuild this bike im making it kandy red and sick add ons but i dont know what all my options are with this prob w the airbox

all the foam does is hold the exhaust servo in place. ever wonder why there are wires going into that hole in the foam? but you dont use the servo with the race exhaust.

the foam holds the exhaust servo the newer airbox holds it in place using bolts.if your going with an aftermarket exhaust it wont matter.except for the air flow

Short answer: You don't need the foam.

Long answer: The foam was for containing the servo for the stock exhaust. You have an aftermarket exhaust that doesn't use the exhaust valve, and thus the stock servo (which is already removed in your picture) and the wiring for it are not needed. You can leave it as is with absolutely no problems. There are also a few upgrades that you can do which include a later year airbox for more airflow or an "airbox delete" as seen here:

and whats the best upgrade the later year airbox will more flow or air box delete
iv had both and perfer the 07+ air box over the delete.main reason is when it rained i had problems with the delete.other than that i noticed no difference between the two.

once you get to a certain point the engine is only going to pull in so much cfm due to throttle body size.

were can i buy 07 airbox for best price and fast shipping
thanx alot guys much respect
