shifter help

the bike i bought has a reverse shift. 1 up 4 down. i want to change it back. im trying to remove the screw but theres not enough room. is this how i would change it back to 1 down 4 up? what do i need to do?

looks like u r on the right path. Try holding the shift pedal down to give you more clearance then just flip it 180

remove the pinch bolt completely, then remove the shifter. Relocate & reinstall. I recommend blue loctite on almost all fasteners. There's torque specs in the downloadable manual at the top of the page too.

thanks. i got the screw out. now how do i flip it 180? it doesnt want to pull off and it wont turn.

You just have to work it a bit. It will pull straight off of the splined shaft. Try not to pry it off, prying on the primary cover can easily damage it
