They can remove bolts on rear rotor also! You need to go thru the something like the engine, or tree. If it's a pain for you to lock it, it's a pain for a thief to unlock it.

simple solution would be if we could revert back to the cowboy days when it was perfectly legal to shoot a horse theif (might still be in Texas). that would deter those worthless scumbags

realisticly though -

Lo-jack. police love 'em!

Hes got some good stories, experiences. After seeing the one buell get stolen in Arizona I started parking my bike in a more visual spot at work but at work i feel its safe, were always outside and there are several of us at the shop that carry 24/7. And at my house...If someone comes all the way out to my house and I hear them ...They had better have had a good last meal. I get paranoid out here, especially at night. No street lights, traffic, not many visible houses around either.

Lo-Jack didnt seem like the best thing in that article. He was more set on chains, locks and alarms. Who knows maybe he is setting up for his next target I hate a f-in thief.[cool]

Some good info on there. I was out trimming bushes the other day when a guy walks up to my girlfriend who was outside and asked if he could check out my bike. I had the garage door open as I was using equipment and going in and out. He seemed to know a little about the bike (Aprilia) and I also had my project bike and girlfriend's bike in there as well. He was visiting the neighbor and maybe it was all in good, but I made it a point to remember his face and vehicle he was driving. I have a house with a garage attached, but that may not be a deterent. Might start closing my garage even when I'm working in it...

Yeah after getting my first bike picked up and stolen I am very cautious with where it's at. I use a lock that goes through the back rim and the swing arm then wrap it around a pole. Just a little trouble will hopefully slow them down enough for someone to see them. I always keep my garage closed no matter what. Three bikes in there I don't even trust my neighbors. :D

Funny that a guy in there mentions that he had/has a Buell and asked if there is much of a market for it. Super interesting.
