Whats up Buellers, I just got a sweet *** Buell XB9SX with 3500 miles. Got a race ECM with it, came with oem exhaust and moded exhaust. Just ordered K&N filters and trying to decide what other DIY mods I can do for cheep? Any suggestions? Has bar end mirrors, led turn signals and tail light. Let me know what u know, thanks in advance. Race ECM not installed yet, need ECMSpy and cables I think, to load maps?

If the ecm has the words race use only on it just plug and play.

fritto: city cross one of my favorite bikes ever. glad you bought one. however you violated "new board member" rules of procedure and ediquette by NOT posting pic of your new acquisition. pics please. will make it easier for the tail chop/parts removal folks to chime in on mods for your bike.

small dow brand tank bag and 1/4 inch wheel rim stripe is cheap and looks nice. bag very handy to have.

Thanks for the replies everyone, just got back from memorial day vacation....reason for long time to reply. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Anyways, I will post some pics, sorry for the lack of pics on first post...... Tail light is chopped, front light is modded and in the process of looking for a good tank bag. I was curiouse about the race ECM, so if it is plug and play, there is no need to load race maps ? I know the Buell or at least I think I read that the Buell ECM will learn the your driving habits as far as air gas mixture and air intake as climate changes. If I am wrong please correct me, and as for the race ECM, loading maps is or isn't necessary? I'd also like to know where I can pick up the cabl to connect to the ECM. TIA for your replies.

Shaved tai, bar end mirrors, Special O.P.S exhaust, Front Light Mod, Clear tail light and blinkers, K&N Air Filter on the way. Race only ECM in the box not yet installed, passenger pegs removed and aftermarket seat with gel insert.

@CityBoi: Seat was with the bike when I bought it.

Anyone know about the race ECM ? Can I just plug in and go or is a race map necessary ?
