First... Thanks to everyone on this forum, I've been lurking and gleaning info for awhile now. I appreciate you guys intelligence and your good attitude. I have to sell this (not happy about it) But I'll get another someday!
For sale for $4700. My 2006 Buell Lightning Long, XB-12Ss. I love this bike (it's totally a hooligans dream bike) but haven't had it very long. No hiccups, no leaks, everything works, and very dependable. Suspension is set up for a 200 Lb rider.
The Good:
Clean, clear title in my name (Fl).
Only 9200(ish) Miles!! still riding it.
BRAND NEW Barnett Carbon-Fiber (not just Kevlar) clutch plates and steels.($500!) 20 miles...
BRAND NEW Pirelli Diablo front and rear tires (also 20miles) with nitrogen.
BRAND NEW Front "Gold" brake pads and Dot 4 fluid flush. 20 miles.
BRAND NEW "Comfort" -1" foot pegs. I'm 6'2" and fits me fine.
Newer drive belt (500 miles)
No one "wrapped" the pipe, so it's still pretty.
No one hacked off the back (homemade fender eliminator stuff) It's still stock!
Even the turn signals are stock...

The Bad:
The previous owner laid it over on the left side, because of that, it has a cool, custom shift lever (see pic) but the frame is scraped up more than a "Puck" will hide. No leaks or anything, just a big cosmetic dent/scrape.
Swingarm, just under the axle has some scrapes.
The primary cover got some superficial scrapes as well (see pic).
He also zip tied the "Exhaust valve" open and cut a small slit in the bottom of the muffler "to make it louder". Runs great, sounds great, no engine light. EZ fix, just thought I'd tell ya.
The 'tard that mounted the new tires scraped the gold wheels (see pic). No damage, just paint.
Stupid bird just landed on the otherwise perfect seat and pecked holes in the rear (see pic). GRHarley has a NEW "Urban Assault" seat for $99. I might buy it, Or I could spend that on a .22 and go bird hunting...

The Ugly:
YOU! If you don't buy it!! Haha! The Tax man is calling so I gotta sell my bikes. Go ahead and send an offer, but low-ballers will be ignored and bad Ju Ju sent.

It is with me in Stuart, Fl. No one lives here so I can possibly deliver...

Either PM me or call Sean at 310-503-3695. Thanks Guys!

pics of the otherside of the bike might be helpfull, but if the frame is scraped as bad as you suggest I believe your asking price is too high. If it needs a new frame I would suggest selling at $3500!

I guess you're right about the pic, I'll go tomorrow and take one to post here. A "frame wrap" will hide it, but I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to BS them...
If you are going to take it to bike shows, it will need a little detailing. If you want to ride a low mile, great running, "Long" with new tires and clutch, it's all there and solid.
$3500? Sorry, but no. I dropped the price from e-bay to post it here and I'll bargain a bit, but not that much! There's a "long" upper frame section for sale on E-bay right now for $400, (brand new for $800) and the swap is easy enough. The problem (from what I understand) is when you do that you get a "re-built" or "Salvage" title because thats where the VIN is. Then whats it worth!?!

Good luck with the sale. I think you'll have more luck selling it for 3700 or so... if it really needs a new frame, perhaps even less.

Really!? Is that an offer? Or are you just trashing my for sale thread?New seat, clutch, tires, brakes, and you're worried about the only dent?
Thanks for your opinion Tex, but I did alot of searching on e-gay and craigslist, and IF you find a Long for sale they are wrecked ($2300) or a showpiece ($7000+). That's why I priced (now) $4300.
Hint.. Read THESE classifieds and you'll find some really nice ones for... $7100, $7200, and $6800.... They are very nice but if you don't have that much $$, this is a great option.
If you want/need a Ss this is a really, really solid low-mile driver, not a show bike and that's why its cheap. You can upgrade whatever you want after you buy it.
And please re-read my answer on the frame ^^^^.

We are not trying to bash your add. Just being realistic. A year and a half ago I bought a 2010 xb12r for $6500 with 50 miles on it and mint. Prices on the buells have been at a decline. The ad's that you see for $7000 plus more than likely will not sell. Your statement about the frame will only lower the value of the bike more being that you would have a salvage title.

You have to remember it appears that you simply joined this forum to sell your bike, I'm assuming since u only have 9 posts. This forum contains some of the most knowledgable Buell fanatics in the world and we call it how it is.

At the pricing you are asking your better off selling in classifieds Craigslist or eBay. Just my 2 cents and I'm not here to talk shit only the truth!

Xtreme, I love Buells. I love MY Buell Ss and wish I didn't have to sell it. I WILL get another when times get better for me.
To clarify. The title is CLEAN. Thats why I never used the $400 (ebay) frame to fix it myself and end up with non matching #'s. I'm not hiding anything.

I apologize if my "post count[sad]" isn't big enough. I haven't had anything useful to say, so I kept my mouth shut. A lesson some other members still need to learn[down]
I'm not BSing when I thanked the members of this site for their help. You are correct, most of you are fanatical geniuses, and I respect those who help others. This site taught me how to change the brake pads, change the oil without spilling, and saved me a transmission (the spring)! The headlight mod is next:)
If I'm asking too much then just don't buy it. It's still cheaper HERE than anywhere else.
