Just ordered Michelin Road Pilot 2 front and rear. Anybody use them? Good reviews with long life and great wet/dry traction. Coming off a Dunlop D616

I've tried dunlop Q2's, bridgestone BT016's BT021's and BT023's, Pirelli Dragons and supercorsas, and continental road attack tires on several of my past bikes ... I use pilot road 2's on all three of my current bikes and I simply canNOT say enough good stuff about them ... They perform well in pretty much every type of riding style I do on each different bike (fast sporty riding on my 954, lots of goofy riding with the occasional burnout and lots of wheelies on my streetfighter, and simple easy going cruising on my buell) ... I even rode the dragon on a pair of these on my Gixxer 600 a few years ago ... never a single moment of hesitation from lack of confidence in my tires ... they are excellent street tires ... and you are correct on your points ... great tread life with surprising wet weather grip ... and this is coming from someone who rides his bikes no matter what the weather is ... I'm definitely not a fair weather rider ... :)

Trust me, you won't regret them ...

I've got a k on mine. No issues aside from the occasional slide from the rear but its usually on well worn pavement...nice hard center compound.

I think that's what I have.....don't remember lol. If it is, they rock. I know I have pilots, but there's so many variations I can't remember which ones I have.

I have the road pilot 2's and they are nice. Not a super grippy tire but the wear has been good so far

I have gone through a couple of sets on Bruise and absolutely loved them. I have since put on a set of Pilot Road 3"s and so far have no complaints. I used them primarily for long distance trips that included an equal amount of slab & twisties, and managed to get 7500 miles out of the rear tire. I will know more on the 3's after my October trip.

I literally just got my set on Saturday of last week. Love love love them. They also scrubbed really quickly too. I got caught in the rain last night for about 10 minutes and felt safe and secure minus the bozos in cages.

I'm lookin at getting the pilot power 3's this fall

if you ride a lot in the rain the extra sipping on the PR 3's may be worth the extra $$$ if not the PR 2 would suffice imho.

I had them on my 09 XB12Ss. Loved the handling. Sure footed for those times you can't avoid rain too.

The price isn't that bad between the 2's and the 3's though, mind as well step up to the 3's

The 3's seem to be geared more towards wet weather traction with those extra rain Sipes they have engineered into the tread... But I felt more comfortable on the 2's I'm currently running as far as dry performance goes... I don't push the tires limits in the rain anyway and the 2's have more than enough wet weather traction for my use...

The 3's wouldn't be a bad choice at all!!... This is just my opinion from what I felt on the bike testing out the newer Michelins...

I put something like 17k on my pilot road 2's, loved those tires. Toward the very end they started feeling really hard and slippery in the turns, so even though they still had decent tread showing I opted to replace them. I put a set of pilot road 3's on and have about 12k miles on them so far. They feel less grippy than the 2's and take longer to warm up. While they still feel pretty good I'm getting a set of 2's again when it's time for new tires.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one to experience that... If these tires are going on daily rider bike they'll save you money in the long run from their very long tread life... They have for me that's for sure...
