Need Xbs headlight/flyscreen parts.

Im looking to trade my stock XB12R front fairing/headlights and all stock hardware for an XB12s front fairing/headlights with stock hardware. Mine will include the stock mirrors. I wont need yours. Mine is Blue with a black aftermarket windscreen. Id like the set up I trade for to have a blue or black flyscreen. But thats not a game breaker. The swap will be more difficult for me and will need some custom brackets. I think yours will be a direct swap, but dont quote me on that.

Or I can just buy your parts off of you. Let me know what you have.

I just did that swap on one of my bike's. You will also need a lightning wiring hareness or a engineering degree to get all the junk from the firebolt fairing to fit behind the lightning windscreen. You will also need a gas cap and and seat lock cylinder to match the ignition key, the ignitions are different and are not interchangable. And the upper triple tree, handlebars and handlebar clamp.

Thanks for the tips Banshee. I wasnt planning on doing the wiring harness. Im going to do the gas mask mod on the headlights and I was hoping between the windscreen and the mask Ill be able to cram everything in there [confused]. Im not going to do the bars. I want to keep my clipon style triple. I know there will be clearance isues Ill have to fix. And Im going to keep my ignition and either make it work with the flyscreen setup or make a custom mount. Well see.

Yea it's pretty tough to get all the R front wires under a S bracket. It's asking for trouble later down the road. I have to suggest swapping harness

Thanks guys. I would defintetly rather do the harness swap, if I had one or could trade for one. but Id rather not have to spend the $ if I dont absolutley need to have one. And Im pretty sure anyone with a lightning will not need my harness to put my fairing on theirs. So Id have to buy one...

Anyone got a cheap lightning harness for sale? Lol

Fairing stay yes. But I want to keep my upper triple and bars. I basically want that streetfighter looking XBS flyscreen/headlight/guage hosuing set up on my XBR.

I was looking into the XBR triple and bars on by XBS, but the center mount ignition key creates a little problem unless you cut it out, or customize your XBS Fairing/module/bracket. I actually wanted the center ignition and the XBR bars on my lightning, but it looked like a bit too much and I wanted to keep the gauges in the same place. I like them good and close to the triple. It would be interesting to see someone do it and keep the same look - without moving the gauges to far up or out to avoid the center key ignition...

Yea, for the R bars and triple to work with the S flyscreen/gauges the ignition has to be moved, and some modifications (cut out plastic) for clearance need to be made to the S flyscreen mounting brackets.

Im still looking for a flyscreen/mounting brackets/headlights off of a XBS and I am willing to pay cash or trade my XBR equipment.

This is easy, order a set of 7 degree crossroad bars.

Im bringing this back from the dead. I have renewed interest in getting this swap done! Anyone? Will buy cash or trade Xbr parts!
