I have been talking about the Cyclops look for a while. I'm now on my way. Misc parts coming in from all over, fork brackets, electrical plugs. etc. I was hoping to get a little info on the wattage or any other issues from wiring up the LIghtning H7 wiring straight to the hi/lo to an H4. Seems straightforward, but I need to read up on that.

Thanks for the info and parts along the way frankiefilth, thrstrmech...

I'm also putting on new rubber, bearings and painting a few things. Here is where I am:

I wanted a look like this:

I was originally thinking I'd need to modify the brackets like this:

But after getting the headlight I wanted, and checking out some bracket options, I think I have enough room to leave the blinkers were they are. I like the Rizoma's I bought that I have in the stock location, and after I grind the edges of my cut down and paint the brackets black, I think it'll look pretty clean:

I can't really push tis back all the way without the brackets, the thicker harness wire is going to be a little displaced once its bolted in, but tis is were it'll be. If it is sitting a bit low for my liking, I'll have to cut the blinkers off of the bracket and just run them off of the headlight fork brackets. But, you kinda get the picture:

And I'm replacing the bearings as I'm putting the tires on. The front bearings weren't bad, but the rear spacer doesn't have as much play as the front did, it might prove to be a little more difficult. Yeah, my rims were already a little nicked up, changing my first tire didn't help. Good think it was already a chincy paint job to begin with. A coat of black and clear turned out pretty good. It'll last until I need new tires again and can hopefully go powdercoat...

My little helper here. Someone has got to be able to hand dad a wrench...

Parts finally came in. H4 is wired up, I've got Hi/Low working great, wired to plug right in to stock housing.

Today, I am going to get the headlight lined up. I'll need to modify the brackets I got a little bit... Cutoff wheel and drill new holes about 3/4" back.

Done so far:
- all new wheel bearings, spacers
- new tires
- modified XB12S rear fender to fit my XB12Ss swingarm
- Blacked front clip (plastic you take off to change the oil... it had been stock grey) and rivet eliminated.
- modified and blacked out fairing brackets

Mock up. Everything is sanded down, got to take some corners of a couple places, paint, back together soon!

I'm looking for some type of edge for the fairing just over the headlight, possiblly some black weatherstripping for the back too to fill the 1/4" gap. Can't think of anything for the edge that would work. I might just hit the junkyard and see if I can't find some type of ultra thin rubber weatherstripping or something.

I need to sand a place down between about 12-1 o'clock, make it perfectly round... After I started breaking this all down I noticed the headlight was a little off to the right. Need to make sure to line everything up right on when it goes back together...

Done. Finally. I'll upload a shot similar to the goal on a rear stand from the right side soon. Everything all cleaned up, lined up, pretty cool. This was what I wanted even before I got this bike - I sent my buddy a picture similar to the first goal bike shot about 5 years ago. Pretty stoked.

There have been just a few attempts at this. I got the headlight as far back as I could. It's right up against the harness, as far back as is possible. I would go back to the smaller fairing for the exact look that I want, although I like the wind getting knocked down just a bit more than the look!

I love the headlight, but the windscreen looks a bit too tall and out of place imo.

Awesome build though :)
