Hi guys I have a problem I keep getting a flickering code 36 on my bike witch
Is fan voltage and my fan is not working .I have bench tested it and it works fine so I would like to put it on a switch so I can make sure it stays cool until I have time and money to fix it right.my ? Is can I just unplug the fan and wire a switch in there I no I will get a light but will it effect the how the bike runs and lastly is this fan a pusher or a puller any thoughts thanks

ecm grounds the fan completing the run circuit. make-shift wire and switch for ground will activate fan.
it is a puller style.
if you're taking the time and effort to "N-rig" the fan why not spend that time more wisely and fix it correctly?

I was just going to send some power from the battery and just unhook the fan from harness . The problem I have is it seems no one in Canada has a clue how to work on are bikes and I just want to get up and running while I look for someone to work on it for me

I think it could be just the temp sensor but Iam not sure I can't find a download for ecmspy that works or I would try that I hate spending money on stuff that's not messed up
