Hey guys, i joined awhile ago when i bought my blast and it wasnt long till i wanted to get lightning or firebolt. I was stationed out here in Hawaii and everything is more expensive specially buells. I found a 05 xb12r for 7k with some mods (Race muffler, carbon fiber fairings) that was laid down in a corner and a 06 xb12scg for 6k that was laid down in a corner that had a race muffler and other small mods and then i found a 03 xb9r for $3,800 with only 4k miles on the odo and has almost nothing wrong with it. The only concern is that it has a muffler i have never seen (im not that familiar with xbs yet) and when he starts it up, you have to twist the throttle a bit for it to fire up. The guy took $3,200 for it and then i found out it comes with a full set of gear and a bike cover. Im pretty happy with it and will post pics of it tomorrow

Good find.Sounds like a good deal to me.
Take a picture of the exhuast and post it, I am sure someone hear can help you identify it.
Your issue can probably be fixed easily with a little tuning.

welcome to the forum...wouldn't hurt to check for codes first, followed by TPS reset, follow the DIY vids for that and other maintenance you perform, download the service manual from the link below the Buell xb header or buellmods.com if you haven't done so already. ask away about anything you're not sure of of the bike...
