has anyone thought of revising the system as far as the reply set up instead of the bracket insert? set it up like email format, is this possible?

The problem is that the back-end for the site is very hard to change. It's not like vBulletin where things can be changed at will, unfortunately. We've spoken with Jeremy (the site owner) on a few occasions about changing things, but to do that he would have to hire a programmer, and the site doesn't generate enough income to make that doable.

Sorry man. If it were up to me I would export all the data on this site and then wipe it clean with a fresh vBulletin install.
I'd go with SMF myself, but that's just me.
