Ok, different muffler no cable 2slash outs, fan looks oily w/a little on the plastic under it and cyl.from head down's a little shiny.my little bear is leaking honey.'09w/29,500 on it amsoil always. got a buelltooth yesterday, RSS on the way. it sat for a few days but started instantly sounds like hell and free whiskey. gaskets are in my future. but how worried should i be??

I would worry that the oil leak will get on rear tire at some point. You probably have a rocker box leak or a head gasket leak. Best bet is to fix it now before something happens .Plus oil on fan if left to long will get coated and become inoperable. Try to type so people can understand what you are saying!!

not sure if this helps, but I just had an oil leak coming from the "primary/trans vent assembly", which is a small vent piece attached to a hose. (member Lunaticfringe explained it to me in another post I just made) My leak was at the vent piece, BUT I followed the hose and found it ended near the fan. Is it a possibility that the oil you found came out of this hose from the vent? If so, it may just mean the trans oil level is overfilled? I'm not sure on this, so any senior members chiming in would be appreciated. I have tough skin if I am way wrong.
