    Cooling fan dying

Not sure what you mean by R/R, but I'm talking fuel pressure regulator. As for cleaning the fan, I ordered this: https://www.amazon.com/Spal-30103013-Paddle-Blade-Pusher/dp/B009OBP182/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=spal+30103013&qid=1637589599&sr=8-3 It looks like getting the motor out isn't bad with...

    Cooling fan dying

haha noted cooter. no doubt I'm tackling it, just was curious if anyone's had luck with any kind of cleaning vs. replacing. I gotta replace my regulator anyways so hanging the bike and dropping the swingarm was already gonna happen.

    Cooling fan dying

So I was doing the ecmdroid active test for my fan today on my 07 XB12S, because it has only been working intermittently. It sounded weak, but then picked up and ran well I tested it a couple more times and it ran strong. Got the bike up to temp, and let it idle until it got up to the temps...

Don't need a tune! These bikes come choked from the factory. Just open up the exhaust and intake to get MO POWAH!

My bike died while riding! HELP!!!

welcome to the forum! You definitely need to do the breather re-route mod and drill holes in the airbox for better airflow.

    My Ducati sucks

wait a minute, do you have to reach into the gas tank? Maybe you just need a "little" help: https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/video/midgets-doing-construction-work-on-airplanes-little-news-footage/502797689

High AFV and lean popping on Decel

Hey Dean, just out of curiosity, what do you believe is the matter with rev-mo tunes? They claim to be the factory tunes for each specific pipe, but I of course have no way to verify that. I bought my dongle through him, and used his Jardine tune which seemed to run better, but I'm in no way an...

    Revision Moto XB-SG Slip-On Exhausts

Curious on how this is all mounted. I only have my jardine as a reference, which just has the springs at the header and the rear strap. Did this muffler just have the springs up front and then was bolted directly to the motor with that tab? The welds look good, but I could see vibrations on a...

    TDC when Engine Rotated

Just re-read my answer and realized I didn't say I was using a combination of turning the wheel while watching the rocker arms to make sure valves were closed, then checking piston height with a straw. I will probably be bolting it all back up tonight, but not rolling the motor any more until at...

    TDC when Engine Rotated

Thanks, yeah I'm primarily referencing the service manual using videos/threads to supplemental tips/tricks. It's slow, but can't be too careful the first time. I used a combination of turning the wheel and checking the piston with a straw through the spark plug hole to confirm. I will most...

    TDC when Engine Rotated

FYI, was able to just get traction with the belt loose in top gear to roll it over.

    TDC when Engine Rotated

I've finally made time this weekend to do my first engine rotation to replace my rocker box gaskets (entire assembly), but after reviewing several videos of sportster rocker box gasket replacements, realized they find TDC by rotating the rear wheel in gear. Since we have to rotate the engine...

    buelltooth questions

FYI my CPS didn't look melted, and the cover is secured with rivets, so someone's already been in there. Should probably set your static timing in case someone messed with it.

    buelltooth questions

I will add that if you're lucky enough to have someone with a spare timing sensor that is known to work and will let you borrow it (like I was), it's not difficult to replace. Just exepensive. Do what cooter said first.

    buelltooth questions

Did your check engine light ever come on? I had what sounds like a similar issue. Started/idled fine, but would sputter/backfire at higher rpms. It would happen at almost exactly 5k rpm every time, and the third or so time backfired and died. It threw a code the time it died and that's what...

XB12s cuts out at steady speed

Definitely get a buelltooth and ecmdroid as a start. Do a tps reset just to rule it out, takes about 5 mins. You will need the buelltooth for this anyways. The same guy (rev-mo.com) sells a fuel pressure tester, so that's a worthwhile investment as well to test your fuel pump. I'd rebuild the...

    Lightning Tires

Thanks, yeah I've read quite a bit about the different brands' compounds and tire lines, and endless reviews. It seems a lot of the better values are out of stock (shocker), but the conti sport attack's are in stock, inexpensive, and had good reviews. They're single compound but have some kind...

Thanks, Cooter, though I'm getting a little uncomfortable with all this talk about harder longer rubbers...

What are the part #'s for SKF Wheel Bearings?

Resurrecting an old thread to see if anyone could help me find the SKF 6005-2RSH C3 EM and 6006-2RSH C3 EM? I can find the C3 designation, but not the EM. I don't even see where on spec sheets the E would be covered (reinforced ball set), and I've only seen steel cages vs. brass. How important...
