    Clutch removal issue

The edge of the snap ring was located where it chipped, which is where I was applying pressure to compress and remove the snap ring. The rest of the places where the snap ring is held is okay, but if you guys recommend I replace the whole basket/hub assembly I'll definitely do it

    Clutch removal issue

So I'm a tard and managed to chip a piece of metal off removing the lock ring holding my clutch pack together (http://imgur.com/TOsg2AW).It's a small piece, I was wondering if it's just scrap now or whether I can reassemble it and just throw a new lock ring on keep using it

    Clutch replacement question

That would be awesome lunaticfringe, I'm sure AMSoil would be fine but I want to be 1000% sure before throwing them on.

    Clutch replacement question

I got myself an alto carbonite clutch pack and I'm in the midst of installing it on my 03 XB9R. I typically use AMSoil full synthetic (20W-50) in the primary but was curious if anyone using the same clutch kit would recommend a different type of oil to switch to for the primary? Or would the...

    '03 XB9R Triple Tree question

I've still searching myself but haven't been able to find anything. That second picture is just the result of a quick google image search, haven't been able to find out much more about it.

    '03 XB9R Triple Tree question

I apologize in advance if this is a really stupid question, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff! I'm starting to do some major work on my bike this season ('03 XB9R) along with some mods on it since I finally have the time and money. I was researching top triples and noticed...

    '03 XB9R TPS Reset Troubles

Sorry for the late response, been away on business for a few weeks. I ordered a new TPS and installed it, did the reset and its been working so far. The bike warmed up and I was able to set the idle after doing a tps reset, but the TPS is still reading at 1.03V/6.0degrees. I'm not sure how to...

    '03 XB9R TPS Reset Troubles

I also wanted to mention that the tps value after I set the idle was way out of whack and at something like 6 degrees

    '03 XB9R TPS Reset Troubles

Okay so I managed to do finish TPS reset, but it idles like shit now. When I rev up sometimes it gets stuck at 2000rpm and won't come down.

    '03 XB9R TPS Reset Troubles

Here's a copy of my warmup settings ich. I forgot to mention that I haven't tinkered with the ecm settings yet, so its still on the stock settings.

    '03 XB9R TPS Reset Troubles

I followed a YouTube video and read up on the instructions from the manual as well before I tried it. When i back out the screw until the voltage stops dropping (which is about 0.8V for me) the tps angle reads 0*. At that point I back out two turns and snap the throttle to make sure the plates...

    '03 XB9R TPS Reset Troubles

Hey guys, I tried doing a TPS reset on my XB9R. I bought a cable online (http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-prodshow/A9317.html) and a copy of the latest ECMspy. It all connects fine and works fantastic once I have the bike hooked up to my laptop, so I went to do the TPS reset...

    White goop in primary casing

The crud was just inside the cover, some oil did drip out when I opened it up. I washed the bike a few days ago and it hasn't been in the rain since it's last oil change, so I'm assuming it must've happen as I was cleaning it. Thanks for all the responses, I'll drain it and do about oil change...

    White goop in primary casing

Thanks for all the responses guys. Last question, I actually just found the problem whilst adjusting my clutch cable at my girlfriends 50 miles from my home. Would I be okay to ride 50 miles back home to work on it in my own garage?

    White goop in primary casing

Sorry if this is a newbie question, how would I flush with brake cleaner? Just run some through the case by filling it from the top and letting it drain out the bottom?

    White goop in primary casing

I took the cover to adjust the clutch off and found a weird white goop all over the inside of the cover (pretty similar looking to male you-know-what). Anyone else ever encounter this or know what it could be? The only thing I've done recently is change the clutch cable and change the oil in the...

    Clutch Cable broke :(

Aahhhh thank you! I was on that site earlier but it wasn't working so I had to custom order one from Barnett.

    Clutch Cable broke :(

The clutch cable snapped on my '03 XB9R and I can't find a replacement for it (nothings on ebay and can't order one since they stopped making it for the '03 models). The earliest year I can get a replacement cable for is 2004, so I was wondering if it would be possible to replace the cable on my...
