Left-side Low-side :( ...looking for Lt Footpeg, Shift Lever, & Frame Pucks

Did you find that footpeg? I just happen to have one in my parts bin from my long since sold XB12S (I too had a small lowside, but on the right side, had to test out the new brake lever, no I didn't see that patch of sand...). Shoot me a PM and we can work out the address/details. I never would...

    2008 XB12XT Ulysses For Sale

Craigslist link, located near Minneapolis, MN: https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/mcy/d/minneapolis-2008-buell-xb12xt-ulysses/7151481714.html I'll spare you all the Saab story (ha, that's funny, because I have an obsession with obsolete brands) - it's a great example of an XB12XT with lots...

ISO: Time-Sert Kit (swing arm drain hole threads shot)

Yikes... that's too bad. Would hope people have the accountability to fess up to/compensate you for such things, but I guess not much really surprises me anymore... Good luck on saving the tap, I'm not sure how exactly you would go about that? Reminds me of one of the old houses I used to live...

ISO: Time-Sert Kit (swing arm drain hole threads shot)

Go on...? I did end up picking up a kit off Amazon, so I'll probably just use it tonight. There's a couple good days left here in MN before the bikes get sheathed for the season... so I'd just assume tear around on the Uly a couple more times to make sure the fix sticks... That being said, if...

ISO: Time-Sert Kit (swing arm drain hole threads shot)

Hey all, so in doing the oil change on my new (to me) Uly in prep for winter storage, I removed the drain plug to find a nice coating of aluminum shavings all over it. The PO must've over-torqued it and now the threads are pretty chewed out... Didn't seem to leak in the last several months of...

    Low suspension XB12S

Take a look here... I think this is exactly what you want: http://www.buellxb.com/forum/showthread.php?53576-WTT-08-SCG-Suspension-for-R-S

    Low suspension XB12S

Factory suspension and seat for an XB12Scg or XB9SL - brings it down about 2" if I recall. I'm short too (29" inseam) and put the "low" seat on my 2004 XB12S and it helped quite a bit. New seat or shaving/reshaping the stock seat will probably get you the most gain, and it's cheaper than a new...

Looking to Replace my Z1000 that I Just Sold with a Buell and have some Questions.

Several others have mentioned it - go test ride some more!! I just picked up an 08 Uly XT but spent a little over a month exhausting every possible option - all in I rode 5 different XB's before finally making my decision. They are a beast, and it takes some getting used to, but once you get...

2017 MN Buell Meetup and Ride

Done a handful of ZARS days at DCTC the past few years, but nothing yet this year... sadly been a clusterfudge of other priorities this summer. Usually I'm on the SV/F4i but maybe I'll bring the Uly out for some sport touring love. I like the umbrella duty, that's some serious devotion haha!

Wanted: XB Brake Rotor Mounting Kit - EBR CQ0001.11AZ

Thanks indeed. Looks like there's is "pre-order" as well - shipping early August. Wonder if they know something that EBR hasn't told us yet (assuming the EBR parts may be available the same time)? The $20 shipping fee (for a bag of hardware?!?) is a little painful though...

Wanted: XB Brake Rotor Mounting Kit - EBR CQ0001.11AZ

Thanks for the feedback - I'll keep an eye on the EBR hardware kit. Putting everything back together tonight, I'll reuse the stock hardware for now. I did thoroughly clean everything up and will be putting blue loctite on the rotor and caliper bolts, should be good for the interim.

Wanted: XB Brake Rotor Mounting Kit - EBR CQ0001.11AZ

There seems to be a school of thought that the EBR hardware kit is "improved" over the factory Buell hardware kit that you linked. In all reality, they're both acceptable, but if I'm replacing my hardware I'd rather go for the "new and improved" version. I'm sure there's plenty of discussion...

Wanted: XB Brake Rotor Mounting Kit - EBR CQ0001.11AZ

Saw that one too, but it's listed as "obsolete". Not to mention with USD conversion and shipping probably close to $200, which is more coin than I'd like to drop. Oh well, guess I'll just wait to see when EBR gets them back in stock. Thanks guys.

2017 MN Buell Meetup and Ride

Just saw this... I think I'm tied up both the 29th and the 5th (family in town, then a bach party...). But, good to know there's some comrades out there. Keep me posted on any other rides that may come up. I'm over in West Bloomington, but love that river road down towards La Crosse. Side note...

Wanted: XB Brake Rotor Mounting Kit - EBR CQ0001.11AZ

Appreciate the sarcastic response, but if you read you'll notice it says: "This item is not currently available. When you add it to your order it will be placed on backorder and an update will be sent to you regarding timing." Was hoping someone might be able to help me find one sooner, as my...

Wanted: XB Brake Rotor Mounting Kit - EBR CQ0001.11AZ

Looking for the "new style" (springless) rotor mounting kit that seems to be quite hard to come across these days. It's the EBR washer style (not stock spring style) part# CQ0001.11AZ. I've searched high and low and can't find them in stock anywhere. Is anybody hoarding some that they would be...

    Advice for selling a bike..

^^This... for this reason I always state in my seller's ad that test rides will be permitted ONLY with cash and your drivers license in my hands. In addition, riders must have their motorcycle ENDORSEMENT - the full license, proving you're capable of passing the road test. "Permits" won't cut...

Wtb buell scg rear shock so I can lower my bike

Interesting... I thought there were other fitment issues such as reservoir and fluid line routing/mounting with such a swap? I have an 08 Uly XT and am looking to lower, heard the SS shock was the best method and that the regular S/R/Scg shocks would not work. Is this true? I'm aware I would...

    Exhaust question

Pretty sure that's accurate - I seem to recall removing mine when I put a Jardine pipe on my old XB12 (though this was some 6 years ago?). The reason is the lines are routed through the stock pipe bracket which has to be removed. I just timed mine in tandem with an oil change and was all set...
