    Went down, need advice.

Talk to your insurance regarding salvage titles. Most will still insure you, but you won't be able to get collision on the bike again. My Firebolt is a salvage title rebuild. As long as you can find the parts, it's usually much cheaper to buy it back and rebuild.

    New Ulysses rider

Any mods to the bike? I found my Firebolt to be lacking power under 3000 rpm, until I put the Drummer exhaust on there. It was like a whole new bike, with power much lower in the RPM range than the stock muffler. My Uly has a Drummer on it too, but I'm guessing would probably have the same...

    ebr 1190sx in my garage

Very jealous. The SX is the first new bike I've considered in a long time. If my Firebolt ever dies on me, that's the only thing I'd consider replacing it with.

NEW 2004 12R with 2 miles! - Ride or Sell?

Those pictures are amazing... I have the same bike. 2004 XB12R in Black & Gold. But after 17k miles, being hit by a drunk driver, and more than a few mods, mine doesn't look so pretty anymore.

NEW 2004 12R with 2 miles! - Ride or Sell?

Chop it. Just kidding. I'd ride the hell out of it, or sell it to someone who wants a museum piece and buy something to ride.

Answers: Should I wrap my pipes with exhaust tape?

I do support the vendors here quite a bit, but I also have a spare set of headers that I plan on repairing and sending out for ceramic coating... but it's one of many winter projects.

Answers: Should I wrap my pipes with exhaust tape?

It's current use on my bike is to hide the unsightly ding from a drop by the previous owner. At least it was, until the wrap came off the front pipe. I really need to repair that pipe and have them ceramic coated...

    Knobbies, what's up with that??

No problem. I have Scorpion Trails on the Uly with black wheels for my "daily driver" tires. It looks pretty good with black wheels, too. With a set of Pitbull stands, I can have the wheels changed out in about 10 minutes. I keep thinking about putting that set with TKC's on my Firebolt...

    Knobbies, what's up with that??

Seeing one of your Uly's with hiking boots, and now you want to play off-road too?! The TKC's feel a little rough on asphalt, but once you get used to them, they're completely capable for most normal riding on the street. I can't speak to wear, as I probably only have 400 miles on these tires...

    Off road Pannigale??

I saw that video a while back... it made me want to take my Firebolt down fire roads. Fast forward a week or two, and I'm riding my Bolt with the local ADV Riders in what I was told would be a "asphalt ride" - and we're on trails and fire roads. There was a guy on a concourse who also thought...

Most Liked Exhaust Your Honest Opinion

I really do need to spend some quality time with the Firebolt and ECM Spy... the only issue I notice is considerable deceleration popping. The Uly has a similar setup, but doesn't have the popping. I don't know if the previous owner (Alien on here) or the original owner had remapped the ECM...

Most Liked Exhaust Your Honest Opinion

I talked with Kevin about this quite a bit, asking if the ECM needed to be remapped at all. He said that it works fine with the stock ECM. I haven't noticed any issues with the Ulysses or Firebolt with this configuration, and there's no stumbling anywhere in the power range. Is it really...

THE SX IS IN LEBANON, PA. !!

I got to ride one this past weekend - RPM in Greenville, SC had the SX and RX available for test rides at Buells in the Alps. Checking my couch for $17,000 in loose change...

Most Liked Exhaust Your Honest Opinion

I run Drummers with K&N filters and stock ECM's on both my bikes. I love the sound, and they really opened up the low end of the bike over a stock exhaust. It also doesn't hurt that I now live about 30 minutes away from Kevin, so if there's every a problem I can just ride over to see him.

    Buells in the Alps IV

Huhlysses - it was nice to meet you on Sunday. Sorry I missed the rest of the group, but I was only able to make it there Sunday morning, and I had to convince my ADV friends to take a slight detour so I could test ride the SX. Hopefully next year I can make the whole weekend. That was...

    here she is.... #19

I was able to test ride one this weekend at "Buells in the Alps" in Little Switzerland, NC. I'm definitely jealous now - if I was in the market for a new bike right now, I think this would be at the top of my list.

50Dro Axle Sliders for XB and 1125 motorcycles

Last month ordered a 2nd set of axle sliders for my Firebolt, and a case slider set for my Uly. I've been playing off road a lot more and know it's inevitable that I'll eventually drop it at some point. 50dro's parts are 2nd to none, and the shipping and service are great. I'm very happy to...

    Inboard Brake Rotors

Took them a few years, but Arlen Ness is finally ripping off Buell: Arlen Ness Inboard Brake Rotors Sort of... But it still uses the hub, as the whole assembly is just a rotor carrier - so you don't get the benefits of a lighter hub.

    Primary Cover Broken-Common or not??????

I had it happen on a "used but in good condition" cover I bought from eBay, and when I discovered the damage it was too late to dispute the purchase. I keep it with the intention of using it for a repair if either of my XB's develop that problem.
